About

Dr. Perrotta

Prior to establishing Peninsula Plastic Surgery in 1995, Dr. Perrotta served as an attending surgeon and Instructor of Plastic Surgery at Temple University. With extensive training and experience across the full spectrum of plastic surgery, he chose to leave the academic setting with the goal of bringing metropolitan-level plastic surgery expertise to the Delmarva Peninsula. He and his wife, Christina, also felt the Delmarva Peninsula would be an exceptional place to raise their five children.

After earning an Honors Degree from The Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Perrotta received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School of Old Dominion University. He completed his general surgery internship and residency at the University of Vermont, followed by his plastic surgery residency at Temple University.

Dr. Perrotta is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (The Aesthetic Society)—a distinction held by only a select group of plastic surgeons nationwide, underscoring his advanced training, experience, and peer-recognized commitment to excellence in aesthetic surgery. He also serves as an instructor of surgical residents at TidalHealth.

While Dr. Perrotta has extensive experience in all areas of plastic surgery, he has a particular focus on facial rejuvenation. His personal facelift and necklift techniques consistently achieve the highest levels of patient satisfaction, producing results that are striking yet natural in appearance. He brings an artist’s eye to every procedure, combining surgical precision with a thoughtful, individualized approach.

As a founding board member of La Merced Medical Missions, Dr. Perrotta participated in eight medical missions to Nicaragua, providing reconstructive surgery for children with congenital deformities and women who had lost one or both breasts to breast cancer. In 2013, he was honored as Outstanding Public Health Leader for Wicomico County. The COVID pandemic brought these missions to an end, though Dr. Perrotta hopes to one day return to Nicaragua.

Dr. Perrotta’s guiding philosophy has always been “to provide peace of mind to individuals who believe they have aesthetic imperfections.” His overarching vision is “to afford each patient the comfort of self-confidence.”
