The Technology

For decades groups of physicians, scientists and engineers have been racing to develop a machine that can produce obvious improvement in the tone and texture of the skin without committing the patient to weeks or even months of down time. Well, the manufacturers of the Fraxel laser succeeded. With every treatment, the Fraxel laser produces thousands or even millions of microscopic wounds right underneath the top layers of skin. The spared skin in between the columns of treatment supplies the cells for very rapid healing–within days! Aside from several days of redness, dry scaling and some swelling, there is virtually no down time. Woman and men are able to return to work in days a day or two.

The Process

We apply the laser to the area of skin treated. No injections are necessary. The treatment takes less than 30 minutes. No dressing are needed. The treated area remains red for several hours. Very mild swelling lasts for approximately 24 hours. Significant improvement in the tone and texture of the skin is gradual. Generally, 5-7 treatments are necessary.

Other Possibilities

Additional procedures that might enhance the result are: eyelid lift, brow lift, chemical peel, dermabrasion, chin enlargement, nose reshaping, fat suction, cheekbone enhancement, augmentation/enhancement of lips, reduction of earlobes.

This procedure is considered cosmetic and therefore is not covered by insurance. The patient is responsible for payment.
