Breast Enhancement
If a patient desires larger breasts, the doctors can provide her with either saline or silicone gel implants, implants that are round or tear-drop shaped. If her breasts are droopy, mastopexy (breast lift) is the procedure of choice. Some patients benefit from both. Peninsula Plastic Surgery is now offering the
Vertical Breast Lift, a cutting-edge technique that provides more breast projection and less scarring than the traditional technique. Click

Breast Reduction
Women with excessively large breasts or "macromastia" suffer from rashes, breast pain, back pain and shoulder notching. The surgeons at Peninsula Plastic Surgery offer both the conventional, time-tested inferior pedicle technique and the state-of-the-art
vertical breast reduction, the latter of which results in less scarring and, in some cases, more projection.

An occasional woman with a high risk of breast carcinoma will choose to undergo mastectomies and breast reconstruction before she even develops breast cancer.
Depending on the specific, individual needs of the patient, one of the surgeons of Peninsula Plastic Surgery will choose one of the following procedures to create a breast that appears and feels as natural as possible:
Saline implant reconstruction,
Silicone gel implant reconstruction,
Lat Dorsi reconstruction with an implant,
or TRAM flap reconstruction.
For women who desire the forms of reconstruction only available in the university setting, Peninsula Plastic Surgery is happy to make the referral.
