Julie Parrish is a native of Delmarva. She attended college at Philadelphia University and graduated in 2001 with her Bachelor’s of Science and Physician Assistant. She lives in Delmar with her husband and son. She is active in the community and family life.
She became passionate about helping people and being involved in the medical field at a young age. She obtained her emergency medical technician basic (EMT-B) at the age of 16, initially she worked in the emergency departments at AGH and PRMC and volunteered with Parsonsburg Fire Company for more than twenty years. She went on to get PA degree (2001) and earn her Paramedic (2002) from Wor- Wic Community College.
Once graduating from Philadelphia University she worked for approximately nine years with Alon Davis, MD, a local family practice physician. She gained an array of knowledge and experience from managing chronic conditions to treating acute injuries. The long standing relationships developed with her patients is what she enjoyed most.
She went on to work for Ability Rehab Associates at Chesapeake Rehab Hospital managing acute rehab patients with strokes, trauma and head injuries. She continues her employment there, part-time, to maintain her medical experience and finds this position rewarding. Since 2013 she has worked with Drs. Perrotta and Pellegrino at Peninsula Plastic Surgery and believes she has found her home. This position provides ongoing growth potential along with the flexibility for her to focus on her passions and procedures.
She has built a loyal following of patients providing: skin care, injectables including Botox (neurotoxin) for lines and wrinkles and fillers for facial and hand rejuvenation, laser treatments including the CO2 laser for skin rejuvenation and Sculpsure for fat reduction, platelet rich plasma for hair rejuvenation and other conditions, performs deep microneedling for facial rejuvenation and scar reduction, functional medicine including hormones and weight loss. She assists the surgeons with both medical and cosmetic issues in the hospital with consults, follow ups, procedures and surgeries. She also performs skin checks, biopsies and some skin cancer removals. She participates in biannual trainings with Allergan to stay current with new techniques and get the best results for her patient’s and she also attends continuing medical education events and conferences. She works hand in hand with the aestheticians and surgeons to meet the individual needs and goals of her patients.
